Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigns
She was criticized for failing to prevent the assassination attempt on Trump.
23rd July: U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who came under scrutiny for the agency’s failure to prevent the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, has resigned.
Cheatle had faced calls to step down since the shooting at a Trump rally on July 13, which left one attendee dead and two others critically injured.
She announced her resignation Tuesday morning in an email to Secret Service employees, which was obtained by ABC News.
“The Secret Service’s solemn mission is to protect our nation’s leaders and financial infrastructure. On July 13th, we fell short on that mission,” she wrote. “The scrutiny over the last week has been intense and will continue to remain as our operational tempo increases. As your Director, I take full responsibility for the security lapse.”
In a statement following her resignation, President Joe Biden said he was “grateful” to Cheatle for her service and that the independent review into the shooting would continue.
“As a leader, it takes honor, courage, and incredible integrity to take full responsibility for an organization tasked with one of the most challenging jobs in public service,” Biden said. Read more…

British farmers are being paid to leave crops rotting in the ground or to “plant” food for the birds
A British farmer has said that the government has offered a scheme to pay farmers not to supply food for three years. This scheme is part of a larger trend where farmers are being financially incentivised by the state to reduce food production. Why would they do that?

A new worldwide study finds there were no excess deaths due to covid and there were 16.9 million vaccine-associated deaths up to the end of 2022
A new study published on Friday found that the excess all-cause mortality for the years 2020 to 2023 in 125 countries is incompatible with a pandemic viral respiratory disease.
The authors argue that the three primary causes of death associated with the excess all-cause mortality over this period are due to mandated measures such as lockdowns; harmful medical interventions such as the use of ventilators and the denial of use of antibiotics; and, covid injections
A study published on Thursday analysed excess mortality across the world during the covid years of 2020 to 2023. It was conducted by researchers from the Canadian non-profit Correlation Research in the Public Interest and the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières.
The paper, titled ‘Spatiotemporal variation of excess all-cause mortality in the world (125 countries) during the Covid period 2020-2023 regarding socio economic factors and public-health and medical interventions’, was authored by Denis Rancourt, Joseph Hickey and Christian Linard.
At 521 pages it is a comprehensive report containing hundreds of figures and a detailed examination of excess all-cause mortality during the years 2020 to 2023 in 125 countries, comprising approximately 2.7 billion people which is about 35% of the world’s population.
Not all countries had sufficient data necessary for calculations. For example, only 93 countries had sufficient data to calculate excess all-cause mortality rates. From these countries, the researchers calculated the overall excess all-cause mortality rate for the 3 years 2020-2022 to be 0.392 ± 0.002 % of the 2021 population. That is between 0.390% and 0.394% of the total population of the 93 countries.
Using the excess all-cause mortality rate for the 93 countries, the researchers were able to calculate the global excess deaths in numbers of people as between 30.7 and 31.1 million people. Read more…

First suicide pod use ‘soon’ in Switzerland: campaigners
An assisted dying group expects a new portable suicide pod to be used for the first time in Switzerland potentially within months to provide death without medical supervision, they said Wednesday.
The space-age looking Sarco capsule first unveiled in 2019 replaces the oxygen inside of it with nitrogen, causing death by hypoxia.
The recently-formed organisation The Last Resort said it saw no legal obstacle to its use in Switzerland, where the law generally allows assisted suicide if the person commits the lethal act themselves.
“Since we have people indeed queuing up, asking to use the Sarco, it’s very likely that it will take place pretty soon. But it’s all I can say,” Last Resort’s chief executive Florian Willet told a press conference.
“I cannot imagine a more beautiful way (to die), of breathing air without oxygen until falling into an eternal sleep,” he added. Read more…

The official video of the Paris 2024 opening ceremony appears to have been deleted from the Olympics account and is now banned from YouTube due to the backlash on its anti Christian, satanic and transvestite montages.
The Olympic flag was raised upside down.
On Saturday night Paris also experienced a massive power outage.
