Hurricane Helene slammed into Florida’s Gulf coast on the evening of 26th September with winds above 140mph (225km/h) and a 15ft (4.5m) storm surge. The storm caused deadly flooding as it dumped almost unprecedented amounts of rain through Georgia and the Carolinas, to Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. North Carolina has been particularly hard hit with neighbourhoods and roads totally washed away and hundreds of people are still missing a week later. Locals are saying that the death toll is way higher than reported and that the true level of devastation is not been told in the mainstream news.
Many areas high in the mountains have still not been reached and many other areas are still unable to get aid in by road over a week after the event. They are only getting a small amount of support at best from government agencies like FEMA, who are saying they don’t have any funds, or from the military. Other organisations and other people who are trying to help had been stopped from flying helicopters to rescue people or delivering supplies. Truckers bringing supplies in are having their tires slashed and goods stolen.
It has been suggested this was not a natural hurricane but weather manipulation to effect the election and as a land grab to allow further lithium and quartz mining.
It is going to take months if not years to rebuild the infrastructure and many people may never get over the trauma they have experienced.
Helene is deadliest mainland US hurricane since Katrina
The death toll from Hurricane Helene has surpassed 200 as rescuers continue to search for survivors from the storm that tore across the US south-east.
More than half of the deaths were in North Carolina, where entire communities were uprooted and devastated by the deadliest mainland storm since Katrina in 2005, which killed more than 1,800 people.
Hundreds of people are still missing and 780,000 homes were without power nearly a week after Helene made landfall.
The rising death toll comes as President Joe Biden continues his two-day tour of the area visiting Florida and Georgia on Thursday.
Biden received an aerial tour of the damage in Tallahassee, Florida, on Thursday where the hurricane made landfall as a category four storm last week.
Speaking later in Ray City, Georgia, Biden told residents: “I see you, I hear you, I grieve with you, and I promise you we have your back.
“We’re going to stay until you’re restored.”
The president has approved federal disaster assistance for survivors in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Tens of thousands of people have no running water in North Carolina, which has seen some of the most severe impacts of the storm, particularly in the mountainous area of Asheville.
“I feel like I just survived the apocalypse,” Nicole Rojas, a Vilas, North Carolina, resident told the BBC.
An elderly couple, Jerry and Marcia Savage, died in bed when a tree fell on their home in South Carolina, their grandson told the Associated Press news agency. He said they were found hugging one another.
Hundreds of roads remain closed, hampering efforts to send aid to hard-hit communities.
Private citizens have been helping distribute aid in a variety of ways, including by mule and privately owned helicopters. Read more…

It is no less than mass murder. Reports of a complete absence of state or federal assistance in the devastated areas hit by Hurricane Helene are now crowding the social media airwaves. Bodies floating down the rivers. Bodies hanging in trees. Tangled in piles of debris. Utility company linemen are the first into most of the demolished areas. They report finding children as young as three wandering naked in the mud, crying for their parents, some with ropes dangling from where their parents lashed them in desperation to timber. The smell of death is everywhere. About 1 million souls lived in these Western North Carolina counties, with additional souls dying in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee.
Help is not coming
State and federal authorities have not been on site for the first week or so after the storm dropped like a bomb. There is no update on the number of dead, missing, and rescue of those who have survived other than local accounts. A report out of Asheville, the largest flooded out community in North Carolina, says some FEMA workers have just arrived with porta potties for the local inundated hospital which is still without any electricity or any water. Volunteers, community members, and now some aid workers beginning to trickle in are bringing the dead to the privately owned Mission hospital in Asheville, which is now designated the place to bring bodies in the region. FEMA is quoted as saying they are too tied up at the border and won’t be sending refrigerator trucks for body storage. FEMA also was overheard saying “add a couple zeros” to whatever the body count is right now…One local report on X cites reports of over 900 bodies already at the hospital that haven’t been identified.
A report out of Chimney Rock, NC said a ‘government official’ has told residents at a town meeting that the federal government is seizing land, and the entire area will be bulldozed–bodies, still-standing buildings, and all. One local pastor was going door to door with water, and found there were so many bodies that they changed their delivery request to body bags. “They are not picking up the bodies. State representatives and senators in the Carolinas were briefed on weather modification technology and have come to the conclusion that Hurricane Helene was a weather weapon deployed against the American people, according to a geoengineering expert.
Dane Wigington joined Ret. Col. Douglas MacGregor’s podcast on Monday to reveal that he briefed numerous lawmakers about patented Defense Department-linked technology used to control major weather events like hurricanes, and the lawmakers were left stunned over what they heard.
“I have an hour conference call yesterday with the representatives and senators from the Carolinas, and we presented the data to them to answer their questions about how this manipulation occurs,” Wigington said.
“They realized this was not a natural event. They’re trying to digest the fact that their states were literally under assault from weather modification operations that are clearly connected to the DoD operations.”

(Oct 6th) BAT CAVE, North Carolina — Residents of a tiny North Carolina town that was almost totally destroyed by Hurricane Helene have been fending for themselves after FEMA told them that a “Road Closed” sign is an insurmountable obstacle for the agency to navigate.
“FEMA called me and told me they wanted to inspect my house, then called me back to say they couldn’t drive around the ‘Road Closed’ sign. They weren’t allowed,” local Chelsea Atkins, 38, told The Post.
“You can drive it by car for sure, it’s not that bad, you just have to drive around the ‘Road Closed’ sign. I explained that to them. They said they couldn’t,” she said, recounting her maddening exchange with the embattled federal agency.
Left to fend for themselves, Bat Cave residents banded together — opening the roads and starting the arduous work of cleanup and recovery. Residents told The Post that they don’t need FEMA now — and at this point, they don’t even want the disaster relief agency to come. Read more…

As a veteran of military logistics, I can tell you exactly why the Democrat administration’s response to Helene has been abysmal.

The devastation wrought across the American Southeast by Category 4 Hurricane Helene last week has naturally drawn comparisons to the 2005 Hurricane Katrina response. As a veteran of military logistics, I can confirm that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ response to this round of mass suffering has been orders of magnitude worse than federal actions taken after Katrina.
In August of 2005, I was a U.S. Army colonel serving on the Army staff in the Pentagon. Before Hurricane Katrina was even nearing landfall, I was detailed as a shift officer in the National Military Command Center (NMCC) for hurricane support operations. As a career logistics officer, this was the culmination of a noncombat mission I had been associated with since I was first commissioned: disaster relief and humanitarian support operations.
From the Yellowstone fires in 1988 while I was a mere first lieutenant, through Hurricane Fran while I was serving on Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty) as a major in the 82nd Airborne Division, through the humanitarian missions the support battalion of the 82nd I commanded in Afghanistan accomplished, and through the many training events and “orders drills” I endured in this arena, this secondary mission of all logisticians was something that defined a substantial part of my military career. As such, I was privileged to be a part of the national support to Katrina.
Despite the misleading media reports of failure, as I served in the NMCC I was enthralled and impressed with the sheer power that was brought to bear by our military to support endangered Americans in Katrina. Nothing feels better than making a difference for your fellow Americans, and as such I (now a long-retired veteran) paid careful attention to Hurricane Helene, anticipating the same robust military and federal support. As you can imagine, I have been grossly disappointed with the delayed and inept nature of the federal response.
Why did this happen? Why did our military — the actual “muscle” of federal disaster response, as FEMA is a mere coordinating staff agency — sit largely on the sidelines for Helene?
